During the summer of 2021, Robert Kooiman came to visit our office. He was appointed as the marketing director at BetCity. He needed help with the set-up of the Google Ads and Meta Ads account, since everything needed to be created from scratch. BetCity planned to go live in October 2021 with their license for online gambling and an online sportsbook in the Netherlands. From that moment onwards they wanted to push hard with their online channels to get as much market share as possible.

The assignment
This is where we peaked BetCity's potential
We created a completely new account structure for both Google Ads and Meta Ads. These account structures were based on the games BetCity would provide to the general public for both online gambling and the online sportsbook. Furthermore, due to the severe competition in the Netherlands when it comes to online gambling or sportsbooks, we needed to make sure that the brand name of BetCity was completely covered in both ad channels.
The impact we made
During the first months after the go live BetCity grew rapidly. They gained a significant market share in the Netherlands and destroyed their competitors. Mainly Google Ads flourished with very high returns and high conversion rates. Of course we’re not able to share the actual results, but the sale of at least €300 million after just 9 months of business to Entain Group says it all.
